Barcamp Philly
October 22, 2011 at Univeristy of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School Huntsman Hall.
November 2010, 2009, & 2008 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Barcamp is a one day event where Philly’s most innovative techies, geeks, designers, makers, and artists will come together in the spirit of collaboration and community… It is an intense day of discussion, demos, and interaction from participants.
My Barcamp Philly Story:
This is one of my favorite regional events of the year. I am (and likely forever will be) an Attendee, Volunteer, Community Advocate and all around Super-Fan and I have the Barcamp Philly t-shirts to prove it. My particular skill set of being loud & telling people what to do, comes in handy as Volunteer Coordinator & day-of organizational support. I also make an excellent getaway driver and general transporter of Stuff. My car has been dubbed “Indy Haul” as a result.
I hung out and helped do some awesome stuff at BarCamp Philly in November 2008, 2009, & 2010 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and am looking forward to doing the same in 2011 at Wharton’s Huntsman Hall.
