My Ignite Philly Story:
I’ve been an Attendee, Volunteer, and long time Community Advocate for this amazing event that has never failed to deliver. There is always something for everyone, and new friendships are often forged late into the night, after the event. There is no shortage of passion or inspiration when it comes to the speakers who are brave enough to step it up and rock the mic upstairs at Johnny Brenda’s.

Initially bummed that I was unable to attend the event in person, I quickly discovered that a vibrant online dialogue was taking place, as attendees live tweeted the event and champions of the movement chimed in from all over the country. A rich online experience was created as a direct result of the ideas being articulated during the meetup. Organized by The Street Plans Collaborative, Change Administration, Philly Works and Next American City to discuss DIY guerrilla urbanism at its finest
